What you need to know:
The coffee cups don't match. If you understand the charm of that statement, I've captured the essence.
For those that need the Paul Harvey version, I'll add its an honest, extremely fast, short order breakfast with all the underpinnings needed to make it a great breakfast joint.
Now I know you might be coming to Tennyson St to try out the new Revelry location and waiting in long lines with extended food waits to brunch it up. So, maybe you won't care about the time as you span it with Mimosas, but for a breakfast that's more traditional than artisanal (do eggs need to be fancy?). Give this place a chance.
It reminds me of early Saturday mornings with dad before work and has the friendly bar and open kitchen to perform its morning Sonata. More OG Defender than Range Rover, but it's better, stronger and faster. Don't be fooled by the graphics package of boujie. It's just breakfast after all. -

An old fashioned diner in a sea of trendy restaurants. I really like how unpretentious Kyle's continues to be on Tennyson. Sometimes you just want simple bacon and eggs and a solid cup of coffee. They atmosphere is something right out of the 50's, everyone is friendly, and it is very economically prices. The only reason I did not give five stars is that the service sometimes can be slow and they bring out mistakes on the orders. All that being said, they cheerfully correct their mistakes and we all have a good meal. I very much recommend this place.

Walked into Kyle's Kitchen looking for a real diner experience. Kyles seemed to check most of the boxes. When I go to a diner, however, I'm looking for corned beef hash most of the time. I thought I had seen it on a menu a while ago but i must have been wrong because it wasn't on their menu. I did get a dish with potato's, green chili, eggs and cheese. Having been my second breakfast I got the half portion and it was a good amount of food for a decent price. Food was tasty but again I thought they lacked some "diner classics."

You would never find this place - it's in plain sight - but if a friend hadn't taken me there, I'd have missed it. East side of Tennyson, nondescript outside - friendly inside.
Food is above average but the homey atmosphere and Kyle's friendliness is what keeps people coming back. I live a fur piece from the place and I'm hankering to get back.
Eggs done just as I asked, pancakes the size of plates and biscuits and gravy - a tad spicy but not boring. Breakfast and lunch all day! -

This place reminded me of a beloved cafe/dinner back home so I looking forward to our first visit... but our first will be our last.
Don't get me wrong, it's great comfort food and it's pretty tasty, plus the young man that sat us was super friendly.
No, friends, the my main reason for the low review is the owner, Kyle, who I believe was also the main server...she was incredibly rude to him whenever he tried to help us (or anyone for that matter). We arrived at a reasonable time and were seated rather quickly. However when the young man asked us for our drink order she immediately jumped down his throat. He brought us our coffees and we proceeded to wait...She was more eager to service folks that were regulars or older folks. The wait continued for at least 20 minutes before we got our order taken. By that time we wished we had gone to Downpours instead. The food is typical dinner food at a reasonable price.
Normally I love supporting small shops like this but her inconsiderate approach to working with/managing her own employees is something I can't stand for.
